(More customer reviews)Just received it yesterday; took a shower this morning. It's "okay" - not much pressure because of the broad expanse of the shower head, but it's really quite okay. I believe it was designed to be more of a like a rain shower anyway. My spigot is also not as high above the bathtub as those I've seen on TV, so that may also be a factor. Either way, I like it. Not elated - but I like it.

I called to get more information on this shower head and the lady on the phone was so rude , no customer service skills. She even hung up the phone while I was still talking.
They lost what could have been a big account for them .

(More customer reviews)After many others, I found the version that has a single roller switch to change the settings in a local home improvement store. I love it! I have serious arthritis in my hands and I can change the setting with my 'bad' thumb! It was more expensive than listed here but worth it. I would add two features: a 'trickle' setting and texture on the handle. The handle is a comfortable size but very smooth so it is a little slick when your hand gets soapy. I have only used it a few times but so far I am more than happy. If I run into problems later, I will update.

(More customer reviews)Bought this overpriced garbage and the handle fell apart after just a few days, the swivel attachment rotates downward from the weight of the handle until it falls out and onto the person bathing and the cord started leaking at the connections. No amount of plumbers tape could fix the leak and the handle peices open and close like a clamshel as you move it. Thanks to its inflexible height I needed to make holes in the tiles to install it, so now the choice is to either find a different unit exactly the same height, replace the tiles or just continue to use this junk. Almost forgot to mention that everything except the vertical bar and the soap dish are made of plastic NOT CHROME, even the bar-end mounting knobs are plastic!

Sprite HOB-BN Brass High Output Shower Filter - Brushed Nickel Review

(More customer reviews)The product appears to be of solid construction. However, one site I saw advertised a satin nickel finish identified as HOB-SN. The site I bought from - Bestfilters.com - advertised a brushed nickel finish identified as HOB-BN, clearly indicating a different finish choice. I had no reason to doubt their description, as some sites also offered only white versions of the product. I received a product identified as HOB-BSN which is not advertised on any site. It was a satin nickel finish. As I am a purist for follow-through in product appearance, I was disappointed. I wanted a match to my brushed nickel MOEN shower arm and head. The finish is close, but not exact. It lacks the yellowish cast that brushed nickel has when compared to satin nickel. I contacted Bestfilters.com, asking for a refund. They said that Sprite uses the same product for both brushed nickel and satin nickel finishes. I view this as deceptive advertising. Bestfilters.com said they would accept a product return [part or their policy] and would wave any incurred shipping charges [not their regular policy] provided I give a 4 or 5 star rating to them. I view that as blackmail, considering it's their fault for not advertising the product correctly. I'll live with the product, even though it's not an exact match: I refuse to be intimidated by the vendor requiring me to give a specific rating to avoid return shipping charges. I will not use the vendor again. I am also suspect of Sprite products. So, if you're not a purist for finish, go ahead. The product appears to be well designed [although I cannot vouch for its effectiveness - I haven't installed it yet.] If you want the brushed nickel finish, you're out of luck. Short of replacing your entire shower head with an integrated filter in a brushed nickel finish [some do exist], you currently have no options.

(More customer reviews)I haven't installed the kit yet, but it won't be hard. All the parts seem to be of good quality. We wanted to change all our bath hardware from chrome to brushed nickel. We're a little disappointed that most of the surface of the handles are polished, with brushed highlights, but all the remaining parts are just what we wanted. Installing this kit will certainly be much easier than replacing the faucets themselves.

(More customer reviews)Thinking this was Kohler, I would have expected more in its overall performance.
The Idea of Multifunction was great to shift to rain, massage and stream.
The problem is with the rain. Because of the design of the head, the rain only comes out from the edges of the whole head, and the water spray is angled out.
My shower enclosure is 4.5" x 4.5", so when the showerhead is on the rain function, the shower walls and the shower curtain gets most of the water. You should be standing about three inches to make the most of the water.
The practical use of the shower is just to keep it in stream or massage mode.
I have purchased the regular Fairfax showerhead instead and shelved this product.
Finish is perfect though... isn't as high maintenance as the polished ones. Water marks come right off with a microfiber cloth.
I have bought all fixtures int his finish. If you don't like to mix and match finishes, other Brushed/Matte Stainless Steel finishes come very close.

The only thing about this unit that disappoints is the threaded plastic connector that attaches the shower head to the water line. When dropped at a particular angle it shears off requiring the whole head unit be replaced (which is probably why you're reading this rather than the entry for the complete set). Otherwise I love the unit.
