(More customer reviews)My old shower head of this ilk had worn out after a quarter of a century! The tiny pin holes in the metal faceplate that directs the water had worn into huge gaps and water was flowing out rather than producing a fine shower. The new one works fine, but after my initial installation I noticed very poor water flow. I removed it and found a conical plastic insert had come off the inside and was the culprit. I tried to decide if this was supposed to be there as some sort of limiter or was just for shipping. Of course, there was no written instruction accompanying the faucet addressing this. I removed it and the results seem great--but the water flow certainly seems more than the advertised 1.5 gpp.
